Christmas In Palestine
Breakfast with Santa
Breakfast with Santa is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 8am - 10am.
The Civic Center will be filled with the Joy of Christmas in Palestine!
Many fun and exciting activities are expected to take place including:
Pre-Tickets will be on sale from Monday, November 7th - Friday, December 2 at (2) two locations only:
City Hall in Downtown Palestine and the Palestine Visitor's Center.
Pre-Tickets are $10 for children, and $15 for adults 12 years and older.
PLEASE REMEMBER - TICKETS ARE LIMITED!
Tickets remaining from the pre-sale will be sold at the Civic Center door the day of the event. Tickets purchased the morning of Breakfast with Santa will be $15 for children, and $20 for adults 12 years and older.

Christmas Parade of Lights
The Palestine Parks & Recreation Department will once this year’s Christmas Parade of Lights. This year’s theme is “Dr. Seuss - Christmas in Whoville”.
Check in will be at the corner of Church and Crawford beginning at 6:00p.m. Check-in is required for all participants.
The parade starts at the Anderson County Courthouse, and proceeds to Ave A., to Oak St. turning right onto Tennessee ave then right on Lacy St. returning to the Court House.
To qualify for awards, participants must be registered with Palestine Parks and Recreation no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 30, 2016. Awards for best entries will be given in the following categories: Band, Equine/Carriage, Automobile, and Float. First place float entry will receive a $300 cash prize. Entries will be judged on theme, presentation of lights, and overall appearance.
Awards will be presented at the City Stage located on the Court House grounds following the parade. Floats will be directed to a designated parking area. The Court House will be lighted for the Holidays and Santa will be on hand to visit with the children.

Band of the West
The United States Air Force Band of the West Concert Band presents Holiday in Blue at the Palestine Civic Center, December 4th, 2016 at 4 p.m. The concert is family-friendly and open to the public, free of charge.
The Concert Band is a 45-member ensemble that represents the Air Force by performing for formal military ceremonies, educational clinics, and public concerts throughout the Southern United States. At every performance they offer a wide range of entertaining music for their audiences. The band’s repertoire consists of music from the Renaissance through the present day, from symphonic band literature to Broadway musicals, and from Sousa marches to today’s popular hits.
The members of the band are all highly skilled professionals coming from colleges and universities all over the nation to serve in the U. S. Air Force. As part of Air Education and Training Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, the Band of the West is proud to represent the men and women of the United States Air Force. The Concert Band brings a uniquely motivating experience to military and civilian audiences throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida by combining pride in the Air Force story with a love for music and education.
